In the 2000s, the painter's travel activity decreases somewhat. Baldessarini repeatedly spends several weeks in Chioggia in an apartment overlooking the Canal Vena. During this time he created various views of the "piccola Venezia". However, trips to Greece and Turkey are not omitted during these years. The painterly production concentrates towards the end of the 00s on his floral compositions. Stylistically strengthens the tendency of a defined, abstract brushstroke.
